Cruise time

We left Portland at 9.30 this morning and headed north on I5. So much for I5 being a national/international highway - boy there were a lot of traffic jams!

Anyway, out on the highway rolling along. Mt St Helens first and then Mt Rainer. Still both festooned with snow and looking good. Stopped at Lacey for posting boxes. Yes, seven more are headed for the southern hemisphere.

Then it was on to the overpasses and highways that lead into Tacoma & Seattle. Finding Terminal 91 was easy - thank goodness for the GPS. Sadly it was time to say goodbye to Kevin. Again, another fabulous driver & person. We were truely blessed to spend time with him. He might never be the same again and his wife & family might not recognise the new Kevin.

Those of you that travelled with me last year will remember how long it took to get on board. This year it was less than 20 mins from getting off the coach to climbing the gangway. Yeah, we're there!

Lifeboat drill is always interesting - this time it was very hot too. Then - right on 4pm - off we go.

We have a dinner engagement, so best I get showered and gussied up.

Pictures - whenever!!!

  1. Life on the ocean waves!!! You do not need us to tell you to have a great time while we are freezing our butts off. No, really, have a good time and watch out for the polar bears. Mum is great. Love. Your sister Colleen, alias Arrabella
