Day 8 - part 2

Lovely dinner. Clam chowder & salad and then over the road to the Fred Myer - supermarket and other really useful rubbish all in one place. Open 6am - 11pm.

Anyway, back to today's travels. After lunch we wandered on toward Tillamook, stopping at BJ Quilts in Cloverdale. We went along a few hidden by-ways to get there (see pics later). What an unusual quilt store. It's in the basement of a house. Kind of around the side and in this little door to a medium-sized room, with a couple of tiny rooms off it. there are quilts on the ceilings too.

Some of the fabrics I recognise from ranges that we carried when the Quilt Symposium was in Auckland. How long ago was that? 4 or so at least. They were very nice and stayed open for us. I figured that the last tour bus they had was when Kennedy was president.

Our day tomorrow has a lazy 10.15am start and is only 1/2 mile down the road.

Til tomorrow,

Lesley
