Home sweet home!

As with every good adventure there is and end. This morning 13 of us arrived back in Auckland after an event less flight from Vancouver. The others are 'abroad'.

We left Seattle at around 10am and headed north to the Laconner Quilt & Textile Museum. What a delightful little town this is - filled with wonderful history and a great community spirit. The web address is www.laconnerquilts.com

The whole town/village is great. I had a salmon burger for lunch. It rated very high on my food scale. After that we headed to Vancouver Airport. This place is well primed for the Winter Olympics starting in Feb 2010. (Oops, font change).

NZ86 took off pretty much on time at around 9pm. The other had headed off at 8.30pm. I must admit I upgraded to Premium Economy - well worth it for the extra seat space and leg room. Dinner was fab - not too heavy - and the same as Business Class we given. A couple of chardys later and it was time to prepare for sleep. It was probably close to 12 midnight when I settled and I didn't really wake until about 3 hours before we landed. Very cosy and comfy thanks!

Cleared Immigration, saw the beagles & some bloke being interviewed for TV and that was it.

Time for farewells and promises to stay in touch. I will post some more photos over the next 2-3days, but apart from that, that's it from me until Viva la France!!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to hearing more about the upcoming 2010 France tour when you are properly grounded again.
